The Cosntitution of US confers a dual citizenship on any citizen of America, he is at the same time the citizen of the U.S.along with the citizen of the constituent state or his or her state of residence . The separate state governments and the federal government at large thus share the sovereignty conferring upon the indivisual citizen to serve both the entities. However, the notion of state ciizenship is very adaptable and the government approval of any measure is not necessary for the mere movement between the constituent states. In addition, according to the latest amendments each state is laible to transfer a specific segment of its sovereign powers to the federal government and also approves the sharing of other powers.
